Skoda plans to introduce the Octavia liftback and wagon of the new (fourth in a row) generation in September 2019 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. As part of the design of the Skoda Octavia 2020 in the new body will again receive the “attractive face” with two block headlights. Thus, the company acknowledged that the “four-eyed” optics, which appeared during the restyling of the current version, was not the most successful solution

H&R worked on Suzuki Jimny
As for the suspension, the company installed new springs on the SUV, resulting in clearance decreased by 45 mm. And at the expense of a slightly reduced center of gravity was able to increase the stability of the machine when passing steep turns. In addition to the new springs, Suzuki has got Koni shock absorbers and cross-beams. This has a positive impact on manageability. Restoration Project: 1952 MG TD
Here we go on yet another MG TD restoration! This is a project that’s been in the making for over twenty years. The two owners have been coming into the shop to talk with us about the project for years and have finally decided to pull the trigger and get started. This particular TD is a 1952 and was our client’s first car. It’s provided many years of joy and great memories for our client and her family. The car was set aside and put into storage many years ago. They would now like it restored back to its former glory so that they and their family can continue to enjoy it for many years to come. It was in pretty solid shape when we got our hands on it, but there was clearly much work to do to return it to its former glory.
They want the car restored to a very nice show standard, so for this reason we’ve completely disassembled the car and will be going over every nut and bolt making the car virtually brand new. The chassis has been completely stripped and powder coated. We like to use powder coating on the chassis because it is very durable and gets in tight corners that paint has a difficult time covering. The drivetrain is all completely rebuilt and better than new.
The body on the car looks to be very solid and appears to have very little accident damage or rust. The body is now at the media blasters, so we’ll get a much better look and feel for what we are working with once it returns. We’ll be taking a very close look at the wood structure that the body fits to. It is very common on T-series cars to have wood rot and rust hiding behind the framing. This will be a very cool project, so please check back to watch at this TD comes back to life.
Comments and questions are always welcome, and make sure to check back for updates. You can also hop on over and like us on Facebook where we announce new posts on all ongoing restoration projects.

Australia: BMW M2 Competition – Enhanced with M Performance Parts Launch Package
BMW Australia is getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the all-new BMW M2 Competition locally, and to make a big impression, the company decided to launch a special variant enhanced with the M Performance Parts Launch Package.
In Australia, the M2 Competition costs $99,900 in the Pure standard variant, while the top of the line is set at $104,900. However, if you want to add this particular package, then you have to empty your pockets for another $15,990. And by the way, the package is available at every BMW dealer and involves a seven-hour job to install it. That is cheaper than choosing different parts from the package.
As you probably know, the M2 Competition is the hardcore version of the M2, just like the M4 Competition is for the M4 Coupe. It is already enhanced with M goodies and adding the M Performance Parts Launch Package will make it more standout and aggressive. Perhaps for some, way too aggressive and thus too ridiculous.
The M Performance Parts Launch pack comes with a wide range of accessories, comprising both the exterior as well as the interior. There is the carbon fiber front splitter, along with side mirrors and rear spoiler, along with the new bonnet which is also made from carbon fiber. The car`s aggressive rear end is also highlighted by the bespoke and chunkier carbon fiber diffuser.
The interior has not been left out and got the same special treatment. There is the ‘Pro’ steering wheel with carbon fiber trim spokes, adding as well M Performance badges, or carbon fiber treatment for the dashboard and centre console.
Under the hood, the M2 Competition M Performance Parts Launch remains pretty much stock. We are dealing here with the same engine found on the M3 or M4 – the famous S55 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder pot, now producing 302kW and 550 Nm of torque. With a rear-wheel drive setup and standard manual transmission, the M2 Competition allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. However, with the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, the acceleration is reduced by 0.2 seconds.
You can take a look at the BMW M2 Competition M Performance Parts Launch in the media gallery below. Enjoy!

2019 BMW Z4 M40i Launched – Media Gallery Reveals Beauty at Its Finest
After so much waiting, the third-generation Z4 is finally here for the taking, as it was recently unveiled in Portugal at the International Media Launch. And that was the perfect moment and place to shanpshot it in an amazing photo gallery.
Long-debated, teased and seen in spy shots, the all-new 2019 BMW Z4 is definitely a subject to be debated for a long time. Especially if we are talking about the top of the lime M40i, an exceptionally well-built model with aggressive design language and sheer power under the hood.
On the outside, the new Z4 comes with the company`s new design philosophy, also seen on the brand-new 8-Series range. It sports the massive kidney grille at the front both significantly increasing its aggressive look. The overall personality is complemented by massive M wheels and the new performance features – 10-mm differential lower Adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes or M Sport differential, all increasing driving and handling capabilities.
The interior also benefits from the best materials alongside the company`s latest high-tech gadgetries, that make it one of the most advanced models from BMW. These features are also seen on the brand-new 8-Series range or M5.
The cherry on the cake however remains the powertrain under the hood which reveals great power and performance. The M40i uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol burner with 335 horsepower, available at 5,000-6,000 rpm. And that is in Europe; in the US, the power stops at 382 horsepower, while the peak torque is the same on both continents: 500 Nm of torque, available between 1,600-4,500 rpm.
Available as well with a high-performance Steptronic automatic transmission which sends the all the power to the rear wheels, the 2019 Z4 M40i is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically-limited to 250 km/h.
Besides the top of the line M40i, in Europe, the Z4 range also comprises the sDrive20i and sDrive30i variants. In the United States however, only the sDrive30i and M40i are available.
Performance wise, the sDrive30i is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, developing 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. That allows a straight line sprint in 5.4 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h. On the other hand, the sDrive20i, which uses the same pot, is less powerful – only 194 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h is done in 6.6 seconds, at a top speed of 240 km/h.
We will thoroughly detail the Z4`s exclusive design language and onboard technology later on! Meanwhile, enjoy the media gallery with the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i!
