Hi everyone, I used to belong to this page years ago for my 2003 Ram 1500. Long story short, but my ex-wife has the '03 and I now have an '07, but with a Hemi instead of the 4.7. Yay! Thanks for having me back! I already have a question to post regarding gears! LOL!

Gear swap

Hi Everyone, I have a 2007 1500 w/5.7 hemi. Not sure what the gearing is, but stock, regardless. I used to have a 2003 1500 w/4.7, and bought Yukon 4:56 gears for it. Never had them installed. Will those gears fit my '07? Any additional mods? Thanks for the input!

Introduction

Hi all you wonderful people. I just joined this forum and I think I will like it here and maybe share some information. I'm an old fart at 74 years old and live in Bonifay Florida. In the panhandle about 50 miles from Panama City. I drive an 86 RAM D100 with 41,000 original miles. It has a 318 with 3speed and overdrive. Don't know the gearing. I'll post some pics later.

2003 2500 5.7 02 sensor issues

2003 dodge ram 2500 5.7 02 sensors. a few years ago had issues with bosch sensors and went to dealer for OEM , has anyone replaced with aftermarket and been successful , denso seemed to be my next attempt as dealer dosent have OEM in stock Thanks

Engine swap, no crank no start

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7 I just swapped my motor and it's a no crank no start. I have no experience in diagnosing issues like this. I pulled the starter and got it tested, it came back good. Checked my battery, it's good. My headlights are nice and bright when turning the key over. I checked my fuses all good except some taillight ones. I finally was able to check the codes and P1698 showed up. I googled it and everything I've seen on youtube and such their truck still runs so I'm... Engine swap, no crank no start

Shocks and Struts

Good evening, This might be a dumb question to some people but I am a newbie to trucks. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7L and this is my first truck that I have owned. I trying to figure out if this truck has struts in the front and shocks in the back. Can anyone help me out and let me know. Also what are the best brands to purchase for this truck?

16.5 front dually to 16" single

I have a 1978 B300 I want to swap the 16.5 dually wheels in the front to single 16" wheels. Do I just unbolt the spacer ? And does a 16" wheel clear the rotors and brake assembly?

2010 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi Engine Miss

I have 2010 Ram 1500 4x4 with 5.7 Hemi. It bent some valve push rods and I had the engine rebuilt. They Disabled/Removed the MDS. The Engine shop has had it for 7 months because they can't get it to do over 2000 RPM and it starts missing on 2 cylinders. They say the problem isn't with their rebuild. Supposedly, they have had 2 auto electric techs look at it and reprogrammed the computer. They think it's still the computer (ecm) so they have one on order. Any ideas?

rekeying

Has anyone here had a door lock re-keyed on a '70s Dodge truck? When I got this '78 Power Wagon it had one key for the ignition and the passenger door and a different key for the driver's door (with a spare key and lock in the console that matches the driver's door lock and key). I pulled the lock from the driver's door and took it to the local lock shop, that have always been able to do whatever I needed. They said they didn't have the kit with the correct pieces to do a Chrysler product... rekeying

EGR timer

Smog junk! I am working on a few issues with my new-to-me '78 Power Wagon and, while under the hood, saw an orange box mounted on the inner fender that was drooling goo all over the inner fender. After some detective work, I have found that it is a "EGR timer". I live in Tn. and the local authorities have just lately put an end to the emissions inspections, so I would like to do away with everything that I don't need, which would include any/all of the smog-related stuff as long as it... Power wagon towing

I have a 19 ram 2500 power wagon and a 34' RV 5th wheel. I have plenty of power but the suspension won't handle the trailer which has a 10,800 weight. My question Is will air bag help?

99 Ram 1500 AC damper door stuck

I only get air blowing out at the windshield. The air control knob seems okay. I was surprised to see about 4 different colors of vacuum lines at the back side of the knob. (see pic). The Haynes printed repair module says there is a vacuum supply line coming from the intake manifold and has an internal check valve in it. I have not been able to locate this hose. U-tube video's do not match my apparently different attachment point. Apparently checking this supply line hose is step one in... 99 Ram 1500 AC damper door stuck

2003 dodge ram 1500 5.7L knocking

I just recently did oil service to my truck with about 270k miles never had an issue but after this last service it started to knock and give me a low oil pressure warning ⚠ any advice?

5.9 4x4 swap 5.2 2wd

So my buddy has a 5.2 2wd truck that he wrecked and he found a cheap 5.9 4x4 truck with a bad motor. He wants to put his 5.2 into it and keep the 4x4. Is this financially responsible? What all do we need to do this? I figure motor and trans mounts should line up?? Computer? Btw not a dodge guy so I'm not that knowledgeable but I do know the 2 motors are very similar.

2012 Grand Caravan Mystery Issue

Hello all! So I've got a 2012 Grand Caravan SXT and honestly since I bought it I've had a very unique issue with it. When traveling at normal speeds as I'm coming to stops there's a sort of shudder as I'm coming to a stop. It's not like a brake shudder, it's almost like it doesn't want to idle down properly. 2005 Ram 2500 5.9 Factory Installed Remote Start

06 mega cab 5.7hemi swap to the 5.9 Cummins or 6.7 help

I'm trying tk find out as much details and information as possible about if there has been or can it be done without having to cut and chop and weld and fabricate all kinds of stuff just to take out the 5.7 v8 hemi to replace it with the 5.9 cummins or 6.7 Cummins turbo diesel and also preferably with swapping the automatic for a 6 speed or even the 8 speed manual transmission. Gen3 megacab06 hemi to Cummins swaphelp

I cannot stop the thermostat from leaking

I am at my wit's end. I have a 2002 Dodge Durango 5.9L, and performed a coolant flush (it was long overdue for one) It took me 16 gallons of distilled water before it finally came out mostly clear. Anyways, I have everything complete, however every time I install the thermostat housing (which is brand new, as well as the hose) there is a leak right between the housing and manifold. At first I tried using just the paper gasket. Then after a couple of failed attempts, I tried lightly sanding... I cannot stop the thermostat from leaking

looking for correct O2 sensor part #

Can't find the exact info for my 2003 Dodge Dakota, Club Cab SXT when looking for oxygen sensor part online or at store. Neither Club cab or SXT is a choice on Autozone website. Engine light check says need to replace both O2 sensors on drivers side (1/1 and 1/2) according to my car friend. Autozone guy doesn't want to sell to me until I can tell him if its California emissions (told him no history of that I'm original owner from Northeast where I bought it). New d150 owner

Hi all. I recently purchased a 1991 dodge d150, extended cab, rwd (for only $1k). I named her black Betty and intend her to be my 2nd daily driver and farm truck. She runs and drives but needs some work before I'll load my 2 kids up and go for a drive. Also I'll be doing most the work myself with help from yall and YouTube videos. I'm not a mechanic. NV3500 SOS

Wats up guys So I got 2000 2wd 1500 with a half breed motor meaning 5.2 block but everything else is 5.9 replaced so Transmisson is or so thought was going out. So I checked the clutch first to be safe and also the master and slave cyclinders None of it was the problem. Drained the transmission fluid and a part fell out. Well dropped the transmission took it apart to figure out 2 of the 3 shift forks had been broken Well I am on a tight budget can't really do much involving a shop... NV3500 SOS

Bunch of electrical gremlins

2005 1500 5.7 2WD SLT 150K-ISH So this is my work truck basically, I'm a diesel guy (1995 12valve) so I'm definitely not an electrical/computer whiz. Truck has been developing little gremlins that I can seem to nail down. Wipers have a mind of their own, sometimes i have to turn the switch to full speed to get them to move at all, sometimes they swipe once when i hit the remote unlock, sometimes they'll swipe 3-5 times when i turn them on to the lowest setting.
