2019 Jeep Renegade: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 750 model-year 2019 Jeep Renegade SUVs equipped with the Upland trim package

The Problem: The occupant restraint controller may have been incorrectly calibrated, which may incorrectly deploy the airbags in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the occupant restraint controller for free.

What Owners Should Do: Jeep manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners July 31. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
