The is all set to give it a refresh as the current version is starting to look a bit long in the tooth. The car maker will be launching the new and updated Grand i10 on August 20 in India. Not only will it come with revised exteriors and interiors, it will also get BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines, along with an AMT transmission.

Coming to the interiors, we expect it to share parts with other Hyundai models. Moving on to powertrain options, it is expected to use the same 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines, albeit now BS6-compliant. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out 83PS and 114Nm, while the diesel makes 75PS and 190Nm. Currently, both the engines come mated to a 5-speed MT. There's also a 4-speed torque converter on offer, which might make way for a 5-speed AMT from the Santro. A CNG variant might also be on the cards, like the current-gen Grand i10.
