- Drive Motor 1 Control Module System Voltage Low

DTC P1AE0

- Drive Motor 2 Control Module System Voltage Low

Circuit/System Description

The drive motor generator power inverter module (PIM) contains two motor control modules (MCM) and a hybrid powertrain control module

(HPCM). The HPCM and both MCMs share the PIM ignition voltage circuit, battery voltage circuits and chassis ground.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition is ON

Conditions for Setting the DTC

MCM ignition voltage is less than 7.7 V for 1 second.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTCs P1ADE and P1AE0 are Type C DTCs.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTCs P1ADE and P1AE0 are Type C DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Clear the DTC information.

2. Turn the ignition OFF for 1 minute.

3. Turn the ignition ON.

4. Retest for DTCs P1ADE and P1AE0.

Circuit/System Testing

Test for HPCM DTC P0562.

Perform HPCM P0562 diagnosis if set.

If HPCM P0562 is not set, replace the PIM.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
