* The engine speed is greater than 80 RPM.

* The battery voltage is between 10-18 V.

* The ECM has commanded the wastegate solenoid valve ON and OFF at least once during the ignition cycle.

* The DTCs run continuously within the enabling conditions.

Conditions for Setting the DTCs

P0244

The ECM detects the wastegate solenoid valve control circuit is open.

P0245

The ECM detects the wastegate solenoid valve control circuit is shorted to ground.

P0246

The ECM detects the wastegate solenoid valve control circuit is shorted to voltage.

Action Taken When the DTCs Set

DTCs P0244, P0245, P0246 are Type B DTCs.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTCs

DTCs P0244, P0245, P0246 are Type B DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Engine running, command the Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid Valve to 20% with a scan tool while observing the following control circuit

status parameters:

* Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status

* Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status

* Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status

Each parameter should display OK.

2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the

conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
