Engine warm up issue?

After a cold start idle revs up 1500rpm and runs smooth for about 1 minute (idle down to 1000 now) then engine runs rough and the MAP sensor hisses - blows or sucks through its relief port. This rough idle goes on for about another minute until it revs up to 1500 again, then the rpms drop and all is well. If I drive it during this process there is a slight acceleration hesitation but it stops as the rpms increase. Otherwise, 98 RAM 1500 5.2L V8 starts and runs great all year long, filters...
