Thermostat Gasket Confusion

Currently working on a thermostat replacement in my 04 Grand Caravan 3.3 V6. I watched the videos for this project and it seemed pretty simple. But mine doesn't look exactly like what I've seen. The housing does not have a side tab, it's more a teardrop shape. And there are no tabs inside to force the correct direction, it's only divots at the top.
