79 W150 dies when A/C on and at idle

I have a 79 W150 Power Wagon with 360 engine. Everything runs smooth and truck could sit and idle all day. When I turn on the A/C and come to a stop it will idle rough and eventually die. Assume this is something simple, but can't figure it out.
