Sliding Door Actuators and locking/unlocking issues

I found that on my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan the passenger side sliding door would not lock. When I started to investigate this I found that it was a common problem on this series of vans and that lots of people were complaining about it and saying it should be covered because it was so expensive.
