Dayco Timing Belt too Tight &Alignment 2002 2.4

Installing the Dayco retrofit kit to my 2002 2.4 ser no: 1B4GP25B82B655172. Kit uses the original size timing belt. Kit replaces the tensioner with an upgraded design.Timing marks are supposed to align straight across on the cam sprockets. The tolerance is so close that I can only get it on by loosening both the idler pulley and the tensioner. Then I find that my alignment is off by a notch.
