New A/C compressor staying engaged

Hi, I have a 2014 T&C Touring-L with 150,000 miles. A/C Compressor went bad. Put in a new compressor, condenser, dryer, and expansion valve. Evacuated the system and put in 40 ounces of R134a. The A/C now works and is cold. Problem is the compressor clutch seems to be staying engaged. It only stops when I shut it off using the A/C button. Is this normal? If not what could be the cause?
