Ram 2500 v10

I have a 95 2500 4x4 long bed with the v10. It starts and it'll move but it runs really bad and has very little power as if catalytic converter is clogged. I was told it had a dead cylinder. So my question is, are the converters likely to clog , one or both? It has 174,000 but is in excellent condition. also, do heads crack commonly as I have read.
