Large Luxury Car Sales in America – May 2019

The GCBC Analysis





Large Luxury Car sales for the month of May saw a significant drop of roughly 3,000 units. In terms of YTD, the segment was down roughly 11,000 units. 


At the top of the heap is the BMW 7-Series. It saw a sales increase of about four percent. Only two other models saw sales increases. They were the Audi A8 and the Kia K900. The Audi A8 managed to see a sales increase of about 168 percent. The Kia K900 saw a sales increase of about 32 percent. 


In terms of YTD, the same three models saw sales increases. All other models saw double-digit percentage sales decreases for both the month and so far this year. This is expected to continue in the future if the past months have been any indication.
