Im thinking about swapping a newer a518(46RH) transmission with a lock up converter into my 84 B250 with a 3 speed torqueflite. I am hoping to achieve a decent mpg gain from doing this.
1) i would like to confirm that the a518 will bolt on to my 318 with no problems. (I am aware that I'll have to shorten the drive shaft and bolt on a new crossmember/ transmission support)
2) If anyone has done this before or has any tips for doing this it would be much appreciated.
