07 Dodge Grand Caravan liftgate beeper

Hi all. A couple of months ago I picked up a 2007 GC from a friend. I was able to fix a number of little problems myself, but one of the last things on the list is also one of the most annoying -- the power liftgate beeper. It beeps four loud, obnoxious beeps on the way up and four more on the way down. I find it irritating to the max and I'm sure my neighbors feel the same.
