Need front differential for 04 1500

I have an 04 1500 SLT VIN is 1D7HU18D14S513231 and it has the full time 4 wheel drive. I've been hearing a whine coming from the front end for a couple weeks now and my mechanic told me today that it's the differential. Does anyone have a recommendation of a place to buy a compete differential? So far the best deal I have found is Rockauto and they have one for $837 with a $400 core charge so $1237 before I send back the core. I'm not positive of the ratio yet but, I'm thinking that it's...
