Spare Tire

I have a 2017 Grand Caravan Se Plus Blacktop model. It did not come with a spare tire but instead a bottle of "snot' & a air compressor. I've been warned not to use it to repair a flat tire as it will ruin the tire pressure sensor and be a mess when removing the tire from the rim. I would like to use a full size tire (225/65R17) & rim combination for a spare tire. On page 140 of the user guide it states the winch mechanism is designed to stow a compact spare tire only. Yet on page 168 it... Spare Tire
