door key

Hey All, Don't really feel like spending money to get a new remote. I have one working key to get in the door. I can get keys made to work in the ignition however, they do not work in the door. I have one remote with the key, works in the ignition but not in the door. Locksmiths want anywhere from 39 to 99 dollars to cut a key to get in the door. I was told my key was not a transponder key, its the black one. Thoughts? Or should I just stop being a cheapo and get the new remote. I have... door key
