4. Connect DT-47825-10 - jumper harness between the vehicle wire harness electrical connector, and the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly

electrical connector.

5. Ignition ON, verify with a scan tool the following test status parameters display OK:

* Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 5 Performance Test Status

* Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 5 Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status

* Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 5 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status

瀚慖f any test status parameter displays Fault or Malfunction, replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

* Perform the Service Fast Learn Adapts (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and

Inspection/Programming and Relearning) following all transmission related repairs.

* Replace the control solenoid valve assembly. Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and

Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

The clutch pressure control solenoid 5 is part of the control solenoid valve assembly and is not serviced separately. The transmission control

module supplies 12 volts to the PC solenoid 5 through the high side driver 1 circuit. The transmission control module controls the clutch pressure

control solenoid 5 through the clutch pressure control solenoid 5 control circuit. The normally low clutch pressure control solenoid 5 flows fluid to

the actuator feed limit valve when commanded ON and exhausts fluid when commanded OFF. The clutch pressure control solenoid 5 regulates the

transmission fluid pressure from the auxiliary transmission fluid pump in order to maintain transmission fluid pressure during electric only and

auto-stop modes.

Diagnostic Fault Information

Typical Scan Tool Data

Circuit/System Description

The transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch 1 is part of the control solenoid valve assembly which has no serviceable parts. The TCM supplies a

signal circuit to the TFP Switch 1. The TFP Switch 1 has an internal case ground. TFP Switch 1 is normally closed or LOW. When oil pressure is

present at the TFP Switch 1, the switch is open or HIGH. The normally high clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 2 controls pressure to the 3-5

reverse clutch regulator valve. The TCM monitors the TFP switch 1 to determine the position of the 3-5 reverse clutch regulator valve. When the

3-5 reverse clutch is commanded OFF, pressure is present on the TFP switch 1. When the 3-5 reverse clutch is commanded ON, the 3-5 reverse
