Need help

When my transmission gets warmed up It starts messing up,I loose overdrive and it takes forever to take off at a dead stop. When I bought it and got to look everything i Seen that there were some wire from the transmission main plug exposed and touching , I don't know if it shorted the TCM out or what if anyone can help and let me know how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it

Cleaning Throttle Body

I have a 2013 Durango with 110k miles. I am going to give it a tune up. I want to clean the Throttle Body. Is there a DIY out there that you can recommend? I habe seen a few videos and 1 stated that the electronic Throttle Body plate in the throttle body can't be manually opened. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1988 D-100 knock

I have a 1988 D-100 with a 360. Bout a month ago I was having trouble starting it, while I was trying to get it started it developed a pretty bad knocking sound while turning over. When I eventually got it to start it continued to knock badly. I turned the truck off and restarted it and the knock was gone. It continued to have problems starting over then next couple days and the knocking sound came back. Any thoughts on what could be going on?

So I have an 07 ram 1500 4x4 5.7. It has basically been sitting for about 7 years. I had started it periodically in that timeframe. It did not move for quite some time though. I plan on putting it back on the road. Plan on tires, brakes, (including calipers), changing fluids. Is there something else that may be recommended that I might not be thinking of? just buy the oem fan clutch and save a headache

i don't really post a lot, but figured with the threads i've seen i'd throw in my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth. my 03 rams 4.7 fan clutch went out, so i bought a replacement hayden and one from autozone. they were both extremely noisy and you could actually feel them dragging the engine down. i bit the bullet and spent the $160 for the oem Mopar replacement, works perfectly, no more jet engine roar from under the hood. one time i'm actually happy i spent the extra money. ps-... just buy the oem fan clutch and save a headache

2011 ram 1500 Bluetooth issues. UCONNECT 2 SYSTEM

I've had issues for months now. Bluetooth will not stay connected to the uconnect system. It will only stay connected for a few minutes or until a call is made or music is played via Bluetooth. The speakers make a popping sound and then it disconnects. Hdd music works fine and so does the radio and aux port. Anybody know what I need to do and will I need a new Bluetooth module? And where is the module located?

AC hose help

hi everybody, looking for help trying to find a AC hose. I am trying to repair my AC on my 90 b350 5.9 campervan. I was able to buy almost all parts needed from Rockauto. But I am missing one small section of the discharge hose that connects to the compressor. From what I have found the Mopar part number is 4773313 Unfortunately after emailing Mopar Canada I was told it's discontinued. Which was strange since it shows it was in stock on theirsite. Also talked to local dodge dealer and same... AC hose help

I put a new long block in my truck the end of last summer. I replaced all the sensors, distributor cap, rotor, pickup coil, plugs, wires, and I replaced the original coil with a cheap one that I got online ($14). Have put about 500 miles locally and the engine started spitting, popping and losing power and barely running. I replaced the fuel pump and thought I was done..Nope! I took it down the street and put it through the gears twice and it ran perfect at full throttle. I went home... 01 ram ignition coil

Restoration

So i'm 16 and my inheriting my grandpas 88 ram 1500 of rwd and just the shell i want to restore it but i dont know where to start, the engines locked up,and we don't have the keys. A/C help please

OK .... I know just enough about A/C to be dangerous. My wife says she has no A/C in the 2012 van I put a gauge on it ... sure enough, 20 lbs on the low side ... 100 on the high. So, vacuum the system Put in freon with leak stop (134a ... 40.5 oz) .... Now I get 40 on the low but 200 on the high going up to 290 then back to 200 constantly every 20 or 30 seconds. What did I do wrong? Compressor is staying on (not cutting on or off). The van does have dual air (front and back). Any... A/C help please

2010 3.3L P0172

Need some help with figuring out p0172 code. History, check engine light came on last February (2020) and van ran rough with misfire. found thru code reader one injector bad. Replaced all injectors and ran fine with no issues for 6 months. Then one injector went bad again. Changed it out with a new one, same vendor and #. 1996 B2500. ABS code 7 troubleshooting

I have been trying to fix a problem with my ABS light and brake light being illuminated. It just has rear wheel anti lock brakes. I checked the sensor and harness and all that at first. I contacted just help and they supplied me with CAB wiring and connector pinout and troubleshooting steps. I have code 7 though and then the directions get pretty vague. I am replacing my 5.9L gas motor. The one that I have is 2000 - 2002? The motor mounts are different but I have made adapters. My problem seems to be that the dipstick tube will not fit the older motor. Any thoughts? It appears that it will not fit into the block opening.

Need help with a code (U1106) pull the codes because my 2011 Durango would bring up check engine light and Traction control light when I accelerate to hard. Hello everyone! I just scored an absolute red hot deal on a 2001 Ram (drove it home for $500!). The more I look this thing over, the more I'm suspecting it could be a rare truck. It's a 5 speed Laramie. Typically from my experience, the newer a truck is the more likely it's an automatic, and the higher trim level a truck is the more chance it's an automatic. Where this thing is a 2001 versus say a 1996, and a loaded Laramie versus say a base model, having a manual transmission strikes me as... I may potentially have a rare truck, anyone have production numbers?

Crankshaft position sensor/timing

2009 dodge avenger, 2.4l Had a code to replace the crankshaft sensor. Only one code. Replaced it and now I have 9 additional codes (misfires, tcm, learning on the cps) Tried the disconnecting cables for over an hour and some fixes, but now it just seems like the computer isn't liking it and the timing seems really out of whack. Rough Idle on 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9

My fiancé is having some issues with his 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9L truck. He sent it in a couple days ago to get its timing chain replaced, harmonic balancer replaced and fixed an exhaust leak. But since its came home its got a whole other issue and the mechanics (yes we've taken it to multiple mechanics here) cannot figure it out. Its got a rough idle; it fluctuates in rpm and when started it always goes to 2k rpm at idle but eventually (EVENTUALLY, it stays there a good 5-6 mins) then... Rough Idle on 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9

89 d150 no power to coil

i have a 89 d150 318 . would run for awhile as i drove then shut off. wait awhile and it would restart. the last time it stopped , that was it . will not start. i have replaced everything from the plugs to the coil. no spark. also i did a test on the coil, its not getting power to the coil. does anyone have any ideas ?????

I have a 97 Ram 1500 Sport. I'm thinking of changing from the 318 (orig) to a 360 with a couple of up grades. My questions are: 1. Will the 360 just drop in? 2. Will the computer need adjustments or even a new one for a 360? All help is greatly appreciated.

Smarty tuner

I have a 01 5.9 cummins the guy that had it b4 had a smarty sr he had it on the stage 3 tune then he took truck to mechanic shop and someone stole the monitor thing so truck is stuck on that stage 3 tune and im wondering if anyone knows how I can get it back to stock and or if I get the edge juice tuner if it would clear that smarty tune

Clutch has over 165k on it, so I'll probably replace everything at once. Where you going for parts? Centerforce or southbend aren't being installed. I've been very happy w/ whatever's in it. Dome light issue!

We just bought an old 2000 Dakota for the oldest boy to be his first car. There is a weird issue with the dome light. When the truck is running and you close the doors all is normal. If you turn the truck off and open and close the door, the dome light won't turn kff until you start the truck and then it turns off. If the truck is running and you open and close the light works as it should. But if the truck is off and you open and close, the light won't turn off unless you roll the roller... Dome light issue!

adding keyless remote to factory electric door locks 1987 b250

does any know how to add the keyless remote to the factory electric door looks. I got 2 different remote kits from amazon and neither work. I need help to wire in the 2 trigger wires. When I wire it to the 2 top wires coming off the passenger door switch by glove box pink and orange I hear a click and the wires get hot. Dodge b250 1987 Thanks for any help

Alternator upgrade

Hi , I am just gathering info for now and have been to various sites for alternators. I currently have a 120 amp alternator which is fine . But i am upgrading to some electric dual fans that are rate at 40-50 amps depending on which ones i pick. I also am using a PWM to control them so they will not be using full out put at start up but soft start. Just in case i need more amps what would be a good choice. I am more worried about idle in traffic for the fans if they are at full capacity... Alternator upgrade

Weird noise at low speeds

My 2014 2500 has developed a weird low pitched squeak or whine. I only notice it at low speeds and it speeds up with the speed of the truck. It doesn't do it all the time and it sounds it's due to something rotating…. I've attached a video. Odd whining noise

Tilt steering column shaft play

Have a 92' W150 that is having major steering issues. Truck was involved in an head on accident and the column is collapsed. Since finding a good tilt column for this truck is like finding the holy grail I decided to try to fix it. I added a 1" rod end to hold the shaft (see pic). It got rid of 99% of the problem but exposed another one. I put a vice grip on the column shaft before the rag joint. Holding the vice grip still I can move the wheel about 1/4" to the right and left and you can... Tilt steering column shaft play

Help 93 Dakota won't start till

I have a 93 Dakota LE with 5.2 2 wheel drive I was in process of installing new dist. marked everything so I could put new one right back and before I could get installed my helper tried to start it..... Finally got it back in time enough to start ..,drove bout quarter mile,ran fine.... stopped at store ,started up and it went dead and hasn't started since any ideas????? Have replaced All sensors....replaced computer with a 93 MoPar reconditioned puter .... Went thru wiring harness and... Help 93 Dakota won't start till

I replace the map sensor in the truck and after taking it on a very calm ride the truck stops working and the gauges stopped to where they were last on the cluster after turning the key on and off the battery fuel and other gauges only go up to the red line of the stats and the truck wont start itll crank but wont start I then replaced the ecm and did the step for it and i soon found out it wasnt the problem the grounds are all fine and fuse aren't blown idk what to do anymore help
