Unusual Start Up Promaster 2500

Had an unusual startup my van started up but, the wipers and ac didn't turn on. Restarted the vehicle and everything came on. Has this happened to anyone else?

1998 Ram 1500 5.2 Liter engine coolant air lock?

So my friend has a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.2 litre engine. Another friend Marc replaced the radiator, water pump, Thermostat (he installed a 180 degree one, not sure what was in there before that), thermostat housing and coolant temp sensor. He had to leave town for a bit and my friend wants to use her truck but wasn't sure if it was usable. Marc had not put any anti freeze in it yet so he could see if there were any leaks. 2021 Classic Regular Cab

46re transmission problems

I have a 46re tranny in a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L 2wd. And I've replaced lockup and overdrive solenoid, governor solenoid, and governor transducer and 3-4 accumulator spring 3 times with same results and then change the external 8 pin connector. The truck still jumps from 3 to 4th and won't go into overdrive. Anyone have any ideas? Also change throttle body position sensor, and idle control valve but not the MAP sensor. Any ideas why my transmission just won't act right?

Hello 👋. I am currently on my way to buy a 1986 Dodge D250 3/4 ton 5.9l 360 and have a few questions as I can't find a lot of information on these trucks. He claims its all stock and still running strong but just in case what's some common issues with these trucks over the years? What other engines will bolt right in to the motor mounts / tranny? 79’ dodge power wagon

I recently purchased a running 79' dodge power wagon w200 and it seemed to run great but I didn't check the 4 wheel drive or more importantly on this truck, I didn't check to see if hi loc or low loc worked. Turns out I'm missing one of the shifter rods for the NP 203 transfercase. I've called everyone in my area or atleast every I've found so far and I can not find this one shift rod let alone specs to make my own. Heater Not Working Properly

Got a weird one. When I put the tucks heater on and select the middle position for the hot to cold control, I don't get heat. If I turn it all the way up it works and I get a lot of heat. If I turn it back to the middle position where I normally would get a comfortable level of heat, it stays to hot and I have to turn it all the way down to almost cold. I ignored this for a few weeks, then the other day I just wanted it in the vent position for outside air, so I set it to blow out the top... Heater Not Working Properly

Fuel lift pump dead, but fuel pressure very high?

I hope someone can explain this. I've had my fuel lift pump fail before so I've installed a fuel pressure gauge. I run a stock type Autozone supplied lift pump mounted on the block in the original place. I drove the truck a couple of hundred miles the other day and it ran fine. 99 Dodge Grandcaravan- Transmission

My 99 caravan was running fine, then a week ago I was driving to work and my alternator went dead. I did not realize it until the van started down shifting and really acting strange. ultimately I found out the alternator died and the battery was at only 5 volts. I used to have an SLT CC RWD with the 4.7l in Amber Fire. It was the one vehicle I regret getting rid of. My current vehicle is a Challenger Scat Pack so it's not like I downgraded. And my wife has an X3 so we're doing pretty good in terms of vehicles. However, we are now in a situation where we need two vehicles that can handle snow well. I'm just not willing to drive my Challenger in the snow. Some people do with snow tires, not me. We also need a pickup for other reasons. And it must be... 3.9l, enough power?

Hi guys; I'm stranded in Florida, 1100 miles from home and my transmission is stuck in limp mode, it's showing two codes, P0750, shift solenoid A and P0700, info. I took it to AAMCO because they were within walking distance from where I'm staying. They've had it for 44 days and still haven't found the problem. Installing a Dash Cam in my 2019 Caravan

Good Day Everybody I would like to install a think ware dash cam I have the proper wiring but I am not sure how to get the wiring from the inside of cabin to the Fuse box on the engine side, I am wondering if anyone knows a route I can take. Pls help. Engine rebuilt and now 2nd crate motor installed. Have codes: P0174 P0137 P0507 P2096 Could it be ecm? I may have exahaust leak. This truck has broken me... Have an appointment to have it looked at Friday but concerned about new engine. It have idle too high then too low. When at 40 mph and 1500 rpm it stutters until it goes back into overdrive. Any help would be appreciated

Transmission confusion, 3 speed standard???

So I recently got a standard 1984 dodge pickup truck, W150. I was told that it has a 3 speed transmission, yet I can not find anything online regarding a 3 speed standard transmission in these trucks. I thought the standards come as a 4 speed, np435. I am looking at purchasing a caravan for camping. I have an 8.2 foot ARB awning that I may need to carry inside the vehicle when driving. It may be slightly longer due the protective case that it is stored in. I will have a total of 5 people in the car. The worst thing that happened to it in that time was the wiring being chewed up by critters. Ive been an automotive tech for the last 10 years or so. With that being said, im not going to just start slapping parts on. I like doing electrical work but ive had to take the winter off because I was so frustrated at this thing. Also, the truck sits... Engine warm up issue?

After a cold start idle revs up 1500rpm and runs smooth for about 1 minute (idle down to 1000 now) then engine runs rough and the MAP sensor hisses - blows or sucks through its relief port. This rough idle goes on for about another minute until it revs up to 1500 again, then the rpms drop and all is well. After a cold start idle revs up 1500rpm and runs smooth for about 1 minute (idle down to 1000 now) then engine runs rough and the MAP sensor hisses - blows or sucks through its relief port. This rough idle goes on for about another minute until it revs up to 1500 again, then the rpms drop and all is well. Aloha dodge people. I need some assistance in a diagnosis. My uncles tried to help me diagnosis and fix this issue and have had no luck. 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2L Crank Sensor

Im curious, if the crankshaft sensor will prevent the fuel pump from operating , some of the new vehicles I have worked on it will. I was driving down the road it cut off. Fuel pump won't prime. Replaced the fuel pump and assembly with pressure regulator, still no change. Swapped relays around still nothing. It just turns over and over, new long block engine only has 800 miles on it.

Armrest lighting

Hello, I have a 2014 EcoDiesel, Limited. When it's dark, lights on, pull in the drive, put it in park, the arm rest light buttons come on. When I open the door, they go out. If I didn't know where the door lock button was, I would have to get a light or use the fob. Is there a setting that keeps the arm rest lights on until the door goes closed or that they time out like the other lights ? The local dealer couldn't find anything looking in her computer. I've been hearing a whine coming from the front end for a couple weeks now and my mechanic told me today that it's the differential. Before I install a larger transmission cooler, I figured that I'd toss out these symptoms to see if there was a simpler answer. I can pull a long incline in cold weather without the transmission slipping. 2000 durango 5.9 transmission issues

I just replaced all solenoids in my 46re trans hoping to fix the shift problem.. Didn't work. When cold and I start in first, it won't shift until 3k rpm. Then it will shift normally. When warm, even at 3k, I have to hit the gas and back off (sometimes more than once) for it to shift. Any ideas?

Passenger door controls won't work with ignition forward or accessory

Just swapped out the passenger side doors (front and rear on a 4 door) and with the ignition off the passenger door lock/unlock button works to lock/unlock all doors. When the ignition is forward, or back in accessory the passenger button will only unlock. At no time does the window up/down ever work on the front passenger side door. Rear doors, driver's or passenger's, window button does not work at all. Additionally the front door speakers, though wired to the harness, with a factory... Fuel Filling Issue

Has anyone had a problem when fueling, where it acts like it is full (pump only runs about $.75 at a time. It takes me about 15 minutes to fill my tank. I've checked the vapor canister and changed the fuel pump. Nothing is blocking the filler neck/line. I did happen to notice the smaller line next to the filler neck snapped off at the tank, but unsure if that would be related. Thanks in advance

2002 engine harness replacement question

I was driving my 2002 Grand Caravan and suddenly it started cutting out and died and wouldn't start. I took it to my mechanic and it turned out to be the engine wiring harness. The insulation was gone and the wires were shorted out. Probably because the plastic heater valve had cracked and leaked coolant on the back side of the engine and I had that replaced. Hello Folks, On my 03 RAM 1500, appears the back plate that you attached your parking brake shoes to (with those little pin and click) is severely corroded and needs to be replaced, its fairly thin and appears to attached to the wheel hub with 2 screws, can some please tell me what these are called and can I buy them at an autoshop or I have to head to the junkyard ? Info at store web sites and elsewhere is not really clear and labels don't contain the same information as shown online in various places. Also, some store products state they are for all applications, etc.. Have been shopping at O-reilly but will go wherever needed to get the right stuff, although hope that is NOT the dealer. Thx. 2006 ram 1500 slt 4.7 intermittent rough running under load

I have a 2006 ram 1500 slt with the 4.7 L engine. While driving it will go from running great to running terrible. It sounds like the exhaust is open and has no power or response when you accelerate. Eventually it reverts back to running smooth with plenty of go when I get on the throttle. No codes are generated when it happens but the rpms drop to nothing or low idle levels on the gauge. I have a 2006 ram 1500 slt with the 4.7 L engine. While driving it will go from running great to running terrible. It sounds like the exhaust is open and has no power or response when you accelerate. Eventually it reverts back to running smooth with plenty of go when I get on the throttle. No codes are generated when it happens but the rpms drop to nothing or low idle levels on the gauge. ( tach seems to work fine when the engine runs normally) it almost feels like compression is lost but...
